解説編

文法・長文・作文のミニ入試

① 導入

正解だけでなく、本文のどこを根拠にしたかを確認する。記述・作文は下の模範解答と比べ、内容と英文の両方を直す。

文法は形、読解は根拠、作文は伝達内容を採点軸にする。選択肢が正しく見えても本文にない情報は選ばない。

設問 → 本文の根拠 → 解答
作文：主張 → 理由 → 具体例

a：第2文に grow vegetables for the school lunch program とある。
a schedule：水やりなどの世話を分担する予定表を作った。
模範：トマトが自分たちの学校で育てられたものだったから。 because the tomatoes came from their own school が根拠。

c → were looking：主語 many students は複数なので be動詞は were。正しい英文：A survey found that many students were looking at their phone screens instead of the traffic lights.
d：本文全体は歩きスマホによる事故の実態と、それを防ぐ工夫（ライト）、そして技術だけでは解決できないという city officer の指摘まで含む。a・b・c は本文の一部にすぎない。
模範：画面を見て信号（交通）を見ていない歩行者でも、視界の端で変化に気づき、止まるべきときが分かるようにするため。根拠は "so even someone staring down at a phone can notice the change out of the corner of their eye"。
b：最後の引用 "Technology can support safety, but it cannot replace each person's attention and judgment." が直接の根拠。a（技術があれば注意は不要）や c（全面禁止）は officer の発言と食い違う。
模範解答（54語）：
I think cities should install more lights like this because they can prevent accidents without asking people to change their habits quickly. For example, the station in the passage saw a forty percent drop in near-miss incidents after installing the lights. Still, cities also need to teach people why looking up while walking matters.
採点：①賛否＋理由 ②本文の具体例（forty percent drop）に触れているか ③語数50〜60語。

I visited my grandfather's house to help him last week. 「〜するために」は to 不定詞。「先週」は過去形と組み合わせる。
模範解答（39語）：I think students should do volunteer work because they can learn about other people. For example, helping at a library can make younger children enjoy reading. It also teaches students to work with others.
主語と動詞の一致、時制の統一、理由と具体例が書かれているかを確認する。

本文問題は「正解の根拠一文」を音読する。英作文は模範を丸写しせず、主題だけ変えて同じ構成で一度書き直す。
